Universal Viewer (ATViewer) application is an alternative for Total Commander's Lister (stand-alone). All Lister's view modes are implemented: Text/ Binary/ Hex/ Unicode/ Image/ Multimedia/ RTF/ Lister plugins.

Full TC changelog history to the best of our knowledge. Reasons for having such a file can be many. From purely emotional and historical to having some development details not documented within the help file of TC which can help you understand some features better or help you master "hidden" secrets of some features.
We are lucky to have missing extensive changelog details down to minimum. On the other hand there are a couple of inconsistencies either based on typos (dates and/or version numbers), or based purely on human errors while gathering up all the necessary information.
You will also find a great number of historical references throughout the development period of TC (and WC).
Feel free to contact me if you locate any errors or if you have additional information so than I can have the file updated. Thanks!

The "System Volume Information" directories in the roots of NTFS partitions
are used by several OS features, like System Restore, Indexing, etc...!
Since XP SP2 they are recreated on each boot and maybe other occasions as
well. This patcher removes this annoyance by overwriting the string
"System Volume Information" in ntoskrnl.exe!
Please make sure that you have disabled all programs and services which
rely on these directories and which are accessing them and especially that
you don't need the data contained in them anymore!

Trying to delete locked files and folders under XP typically results in five-second-delays in which Windows retries to delete every second. This patcher removes this limitation by searching for all occurences of 56 57 33 FF EB 21 83 FF 05 in shell32.dll and replacing the 05 with 00. After doing that, the in-use error messages will pop up instantly.
